Lincoln Canada: History

The Canadian Company was incorporated provincially in 1916 and federally in 1930. In July 1940, in response to war production needs Lincoln Electric commenced construction of its current headquarters in Toronto, Ont.

The 170,000 sq. ft. Lincoln Electric head office and plant has been augmented by:

  • A 17,000-sq. ft. Distribution Centre in Calgary. This facility includes a demonstration and training facility for distributors, as well as a warehouse to serve Western Canada.
  • A 121,000 sq. ft. Distribution and Customer Fulfillment Centre which opened in Toronto in December 1999.
  • A National Sales and Automation Centre in Mississauga, Ont. to service the widely expanding robotics market.
