Danica Patrick Wins Indy Japan 300 at Twin Ring Motegi

Danica Patrick, driver of the No. 7 Motorola (Dallara / Honda / Firestone) IndyCar for Andretti-Green Racing, became the first female driver to win a major closed-course auto race with her victory on the Twin Ring oval in Motegi, Japan. Using a wily fuel strategy devised by team manager Kyle Moyer, Patrick scored the historic IndyCar Series win and removing the self-imposed pressure that has dogged her since reaching the IRL in 2005. This was Patrick's 50th IndyCar Series start and the first win of the season for Andretti-Green Racing.
